A Versatile Class
In Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, Swordcraft retains its identity as the board-centric, value based class. It floods the board and overwhelms the opponent with synergistic advantaces at a low cost. With its focus on board, and honest playstyle, this makes Swordcraft an ideal entry point for new players who want to get used to the game, while strengthening their basics. Further, it has a high skill ceiling that allows veterans to demonstrate their deep game knowledge!
As opposed to the original Shadowverse game, in Worlds Beyond, Swordcraft cards are no longer separated into Commander/Officers. This opens up new opportunities for the class, and we can observe that with the cards that share Luminous trait. The synergey between Luminous Commander and Luminous Lancetrooper enables a very agressive, high value early game that presents a threat of 3 face damage as early as turn 2! It also enables dealing with the enemy board, if they present a target that demands dealing with going second.
Given its ability to flood the board early, and many of its great synergies in early game, the class excels at being an aggressive deck that could finish up games quickly. However, the class is certainly able to handle mid-late game as well. With cards like Amelia, Silver Captain, the deck can refill its hand and prepare for another onslaught of board-flooding in the mid game. If somehow by the midgame the opponent were not able to deal with your board, though, cards like Ernesta, Peace Hawker exist to capitalize on this opportunity.
Overall, the class is well-rounded, and is able to handle the early game extremely well, can hold its own in the mid game, and has good cards to utilize going for the late game. This is a sample deck that demonstrates the class versatility.
In the end, with Albert, Levin Stormsaber in your deck, if you ever make it to Turn 9 and find yourself in trouble, you have access to an easy 12 burst damage with Super-Evolve!
