Historically, Forestcraft has leaned into three distinct mechanics: fairies, bounces, and comboes!
Fairies are the backbone of the Forestcraft deck. 1pp 1/1 followers that can be used to pressure the opponent, but also to enable comboes. Combo (X) is a condition where you can unlock bonus effects by playing a certain amount of cards by the time you play the card with Combo. For example, a card with Combo (3) would be active by playing two fairies and then the card with Combo (3). In addition, the final piece of the puzzle that ties everything together is "bounces", the action of returning cards to your hand by using various forestcraft cards with that effect!
In Shadowverse Worlds Beyond, Rhinoceroach is once again the king of comboes. This card starts at 0 attack, but gains 1 for each extra card you played during the turn. So, for example, if you played 7 cards before the Roach, it would be 7 attack. It also has the neat keyword "Storm", meaning it can attack the enemy leader during the turn it's played, making it a very potent lethal option.
Your early game with Forestcraft should generally consist of generating Fairies and contesting the board. Once you have have more play points available, you can begin pulling off comboes, which will help you clear your opponent's threats while slowly chipping away at the opponent's leader. Aria is very effective at dealing chip damage, as she has a Crest effect which gives all your Fairies storm. This is an effect with high amounts of utility and can allow you to navigate against otherwise insurmountable threats. Notably, if you are able to reach the late game, you can play Rose Queen, which can transform all your fairies in hand into deadly Thorn Burst tokens, which only cost 1 play points and can deal 3 direct damage to the enemy leader. This also enables your combo cards, like Rhinoceroach, allowing for incredible burst damage to truly finish off the game.
Forest is a deck that can pull off some truly incredible combos, but the downside (if one can call it that) is that it's a rather skill-intensive deck. Put the time in to master Forestcraft, and you'll find yourself rewarded accordingly.
